It was re-opened after renovation on 3 March 2015. The renovated aquarium has a 12-feet long and 180 degree acrylic glass tunnel.

Taraporewala Aquarium entrance is made by Uttekar fisheries. Visitors enter in aquarium through a glass tunnel aroud which fishes and water plants are on display

Taraporewala Aquarium consist of both Saltwater & Freshwater fishes that are very delightful to watch.
Apart from fishes it also has reptiles, giant lobsters et
c.


Taraporewala Aquarium also has some monster fishes which are very rare to watch. These fishes are considered to be a true river monsters. These fishes require a separate enclosure and can grow up to 10 feet. These fishes are imported from around the world in order to give a glimpse of what these monster fishes are capable of when they are in their natural habitat.

Some of the monster fishes in Taraporewala Aquarium are :

Arapaima : Arapaima Gigas (Pirarucu) is one of the largest freshwater fishes, they are native from amazon river these fishes can grow up to 9 to 10 feet these fishes are considered to be true river monster.

Alligator Gar : Alligator gar is the largest fish in gar family they can grow up to 10 feet they have the ability to breath both air & water. They are predator fish they ambush their prey.

Taraporewala Aquarium has small museum too, which has preserved corals, Sea shell & fish skeletons
